Program Perumahan Rakyat Termiskin (PPRT)
October 2020 – The Sabah Land Development Board has been appointed as the Implementing Agency for the Poorest People's Housing Program (PPRT) by the Federal Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB) involving community areas under the management of LKTNS.
The objectives of the PPRT program include improving the quality of life of settlers/participants by building or repairing houses and providing safer and more comfortable places to live as a basis for the growth of a family.
In the context of the implementation of this PPRT, LKTNS as the implementing agency provides management assistance to enable this program to be enjoyed by settlers/participants and their children who meet the criteria set by the KPLB.
As a start, LKTNS has approved an allocation to repair 43 units of houses involving the Planned Settlement Scheme areas on the East Coast of Sabah.
LKTNS has repaired 23 units of Planned Settlement Scheme houses, respectively, in Sungai Manila (8 units), Ulu Dusun (6 units), and Suan Lamba (9 units). While the remaining 20 units will be implemented once the Movement Control Order (MCO) is ended.
Based on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in improving the well-being of the people, LKTNS will apply for allocations through the 12th Malaysia Plan (Rancangan Malaysia ke-12) to continue this program as one of the main touch points of the Government which is always concerned about maintaining the well-being and prioritizing the welfare of the people.
